The school is situated 125 kilometres from Brisbane International Airport, with bus connections every hour. Fairholme College sits on the Range escarpment in Toowoomba, Australia's Garden City. Toowoomba has a population of 100,000 people and is a university city (University of Southern Queensland).
Fairholme enrols girls from age 4 to 18, with boarders from age 10 to 18.
The school has more than 800 students, of whom 240 are boarders.
