Bob Balsillie Music Scholarship


This scholarship is awarded to a single girl each year entering year 10. This scholarship is offered for a 3 year period from year 10 until year 12. Candidates must sit the ACER exam.


The late Mr Bob Balsillie was a dedicated and accomplished music teacher and much loved staff member of the College from 1991 to 2001.

OPEN MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS ENTRY INTO YEAR 10

CATEGORY 1

  • Orchestral String Instruments (Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass) & Piano - Applicants should have reached Grade 5 AMEB or equivalent in their chosen instrument.

CATEGORY 2

  • Wind Instruments (Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium) Percussion, Guitar & Singing - Applicants should have reached Grade 4 AMEB or equivalent in singing or their chosen instrument.

CATEGORY 3

  • Specialty Instruments (Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, Piccolo, Oboe, Bass Clarinet, Bassoon, French Horn, Tuba, Bagpipes, Pipe Organ, Harp) - Applicants should have reached Grade 3 AMEB or equivalent in their chosen instrument.

All Scholarship applicants are required to submit the Scholarship Application Form and register for ACER.
