The College is recognised as one of the leading physical activity providers in Australia, with Olympians such as such as Liz Hepple, Cathy Freeman and Dannielle Leisch having developed their skills whilst attending Fairholme College.
Sport is an integral part of life at Fairholme with the emphasis being on enjoyment, participation and sport etiquette. A wide variety of sporting activities are offered in both competitive and non-competitive environments.

Enabled to compete at elite level through the Fairholme Athletics Club, our track and field athletes are trained by qualified coaches, some of which are recognised within the state and nation as leaders in their field.

Fairholme has dominated the Toowoomba Primary Schools Friday night competition for the past 3 years and were crowned A Grade Champions at the 2023 Andrews Cup.
The Aussie Hoops program is offered after-school for students in Years 2 to Year 6 in Term 1.

Netball has become a favoured sport amongst Fairholme girls.
In 2023, Fairholme had 29 teams competing in the Toowoomba Netball Association competition, with about 280 girls from Year 2 to Year 12 participating.

Fairholme College has a proud history in Orienteering, with the College named Champion School for the third year in a row at the 2023 Queensland Schools Orienteering Championships.

Our College swim teams have been a source of great pride and achievement for many years.
Through our College Swim Program and the Fairholme Aquatics Swim School, all students have the opportunity to gain water confidence, learn how to swim with sound technique, and become accustomed to a racing environment.
Two week concentrated Learn to Swim block free of charge to all Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 students.
