Enrolment Process

Fairholme College is an all-girls’ Day and Boarding School for Prep to Year 12, with a Kindergarten offering early childhood education for both boys and girls.

At Fairholme College we encourage you to be in contact with us regarding your interest in a Fairholme education; after all, an enrolment always begins with your enquiry. Fairholme accepts and encourages applications for enrolment, any time from birth.

PLEASE NOTE:

For those seeking admission at Fairholme College in 2024, 2025, 2026 or 2027, you are asked to make contact with our Head of Enrolments, Mrs Tina Hammond, in the first instance.

Some year levels are already at capacity both within the Day and Boarding schools. It is advisable to apply early so that your child's application is well-placed wherever a waiting pool has been established.

Applications for 3 Day Kindy (4 year old) in 2025 are NOW CLOSED. Places are available for 2026.

First Step - Experience Fairholme

We value the opportunity for you to experience Fairholme and encourage you to register for a Fairholme Girl for a Day experience and/or visit for a College tour.

Stepping on campus, allows you to gain a sense of who we are and what is important to us as a place of learning and living.

Second Step - Submit an Application

Complete and submit an online Application for Enrolment form for each child.

Before you start the application, please make sure you have the following available:

• Birth certificate
• Immunisation history
• NAPLAN results
• School reports
• Parenting / court order documentation (if applicable)
• Residency documentation (if applicable)
• Medical documentation (if applicable)

The application form must be accompanied by:

• A reference
• Copy of birth certificate, and
• Payment of the non-refundable application fee (currently $110 per applicant for Domestic Students).

The School will confirm receipt of your application and your daughter’s name will be added to the waiting pool for the year of entry you are seeking. All applicants’ are placed in the College waiting pool until two years prior to entry, when the enrolment process commences. 

Third Step - Invitation to Interview

An invitation to interview will occur within the two years prior to beginning at Fairholme College. Should the interview be successful, and a place available, a formal offer will follow. 

For Boarding students, offers will be made (at least) twelve months prior to entry. For Day students, according to availability, places may be available earlier.

Where places are unavailable, students may continue to be part of the waiting pool.

If Fairholme is unable to offer a position at a particular point of entry, the family is contacted and given the opportunity to amend the girl’s future point of entry. If this option is chosen, the girl’s name is placed in the chosen year level waiting pool, according to her original date of application.

Fairholme Junior students are given automatic entry into Year 7. Automatic progression is also available for girls in Kindy into Fairholme Junior.

Fourth Step - Offer and Confirmation of Place

Upon receipt of a formal offer of place, a non-refundable Confirmation Fee of $750.00 ($650.00 for Kindy) is immediately payable to accept the offer. 

Once the the Enrolment Contract has been signed and the confirmation fee paid, the Fairholme College enrolment is formally confirmed, and the enrolment contract is completed.
