Almighty God, in whom we move and live and have our being, make this school as a field which the Lord hath blessed, that whatsoever things are true, pure, lovely and of good report, may here forever flourish and abound. Preserve in it an unblemished name, enlarge it with wider usefulness, and exalt it in the love and reverence of all its members as an instrument of Thy Glory; for the sake of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (Fairholme College School Prayer)
The opening statements from the Fairholme College School Prayer [drawn from Paul’s address at the Areopagus recorded in the Bible in Acts 17] remind us that God is not remote but near to all, and that it is in him that we live and move and have our being.
In enacting our value of Christ Centred Faith, throughout chapel services, assembly devotions, boarder Bible studies, Christian Education classes, or in the Pastoral Care program, students are encouraged to remain aware of God’s presence in their life and to seek him.
The Head of Faith and Wellbeing performs the role of Chaplain at Fairholme College and is also available to assist in personal, family, grief and spiritual counselling.
